The RED Reverie

There are some colours which are hesitant to put on whether it is because of our skin tones, body shape and size. And red is one of those colours. If you are a bit hesitant in wearing red, it’s time you stop doing so.

Red symbolizes energy, passion, & action. The colour red exudes confidence  and strength. Just the colour itself will make you walk a little taller and hold your head a bit higher.
Red adds a strong statement, Asserting a little bit of individuality and personal style can boost your confidence and ability.

For a date night, red can be your go to colour as it symbolizes passion, desire and love. You may also think of adding details like ruffles, bows, silhouettes and complimenting your body shape.Wearing a red dress can easily make you stand out from a crowd, and make you look regal and confident.

Have you noticed that when you wear a little bit of red lipstick you feel more confident and capable of taking on the world? So just imagine what a dress of the same colour could do.

If you need a last minute outfit then the little black dress has always been a firm favourite of mine, but now the day time equivalent has become the little Red dress, and it’s a Taking over my wardrobe.

Shades of red generally goes with every skin tone, and also adds that oooomphhhhh factor. We need to stop being afraid of the red and start owning it. Because COLOUR MEANS CONFIDENCE. Red is one of those colours that is definitely a bit ‘out there’, but when worn the right way can still be sweet and subtle, especially if paired with neutral accessories.

Festive Fancy…

Hello There!!!

Let’s talk about Raksha bandhan this time. It’s just around the corner, and it’s a celebration of the lovely and sardonic relation between a brother and sister. This festival  and every festival and celebration calls for dressing up and looking our best with putting minimal efforts.

Most of you would still be in a dilemma as to what to wear from the huge pile of clothes that mom and other online stores has put in front of you. Let me help you here, I’ve been there myself, so here’s a few tips and looks I have for all of you which are neither too traditional nor too western.

SO the first look …

For this look I borrowed a flared cotton palazzo from my mommy’s wardrobe. Well, I am a fan of flared palazzos, it looks stylish and are super comfortable. Then, I decided to flaunt the layering this festive season by pairing it up with this blue captivating ikat print shrug. I just love it’s asymmetric hem which gives a bit of sass to my outfit. And btw don’t  be afraid to wear print on print, it looks great.

Look 2:
This look is for those girls who wants to look and feel like a devoted sister  alomg with showing off a bit of glamour on Rakhi. This green dress is step forward to urbane-inspired ethnic trend and it is beautifully designed with a pleated tired falls and tasselled detail on the shoulder.

As this dress is covering  my whole body, I wanted to show perfect amount of skin I decided to tie my hair rather than keeping it open. Also, its perfect for the one’s who love to twirl and swirl.

Look 3:
This is one of my favourite looks ,its colourful, comfortable and so effortless. Here I am wearing my wide leg cream trouser with basic white camisole, layered with traditional handwork jacket which I bought from local shop of Udaipur. To give more traditional touch to this fusion look, added silver choker.

Look 4:
This look is for those girls who dislikes traditional as it bring along quite a bit of hassle of handling dupattas , but still wants to rock this festive season. Layering long line ikat jacket with casual top and denim.

Look 5:
A palazzo and duppata is not just for pairing with kurtas. To break this rule I paired them with ruffled sleeves white shirt. And because of more volume of ruffled sleeves and duppata. Accessories are optional.

How to wear off shoulder shirt, check the link below:

Look 6:
Kurtas will never be out of style, so I paired it up with a dhoti creating a silhouette look . Added a golden dupatta as an embellishment To my dhoti kurta.

Hello Guys!!!

Allow me take you to a floral ride this time.

Monsoons are finally here, after a long summer and I can’t be any happier about it. On one hand it is the season of romance but on the other side for some of us things get pretty messy especially our clothes. So it’s all about playing with colors and creating fresh new looks that are in sync with this Season.

Here is my pick for the Season:

My favourite for this season is this floral Jumpsuit. Sometimes Monsoons become quite gloomy and a ray of sunshine is all you need. And what better way to achieve that than blossom like flowers themselves. This trend has been in full bloom for as long as we can remember. Not to mention, there is just something about floral that makes me Happy.

The versatility of the florals helped it to make a place in my favourites. They make you feel put together and feminine, but  they can also help you look edgy and tough, you just have to style it correctly.

Here I have showcased one of my favorite Wide leg floral jumpsuit which will inspire you to bring even more floral into your wardrobe. I am a fan of Jumpsuits. They are a style statement. The all in one garment creates a striking look that moves beyond a simple dress or pants and a blouse combination.  This wide leg pants trend in jumpsuit is awesome as we don’t have to worry about what kind of tops work with voluminous bottoms. It’s comfortable, easy and chic.

Girls who are a little petite, usually are reluctant to wear wide leg jumpsuits because they are of the view that the broad bottom will make them look shorter and fatter. TRUST ME THESE ARE MERELY MYTHS!!!!…In fact the wide leg jumpsuits can make the short girls look taller because of the flare and flow, legs are completely hidden and mind well the fabric of the jumpsuit should be soft and flowy  which will hug your curves better than stiff fabrics.

My Style Mantra for a Wide leg Jumpsuit:

  • Fit: Find the perfect fit. Don’t wear anything too loose or too tight.

The jumpsuit I am wearing in this post is having a criss cross halter neck top, cinched at the waist with a wide leg. It’s neither too big nor too small, i am able to flatter my curved by showing the right amount of skin with the halter neck top.

  • Define your waist: A lot of jumpsuits have either a cloth belt, if not you can easily add your belt to define your waist.

In this floral jumpsuit, I am wearing a cloth waist belt to define my waist to add some femininity to the look. I could have also added a gold, white or black belt to add some dimension, but i wanted to show that you don’t need much accessories, it looks Stylish without it also…

  • Shoe: Wear heels with wide leg jumpsuit.

If you are wearing a blowy and flowy pants, you should avoid chunky heels which are heavy and add too much weight and bulkiness to your bottom so pair it with skinny heels such as sandals, pumps, stilettos.

Wearing heels is a style rule I follow because of my petite frame, I want to create the illusion that i am super tall. Here I have paired the wide leg floral jumpsuit with bright pink color heels, this stunning pair of ruffle detail tie up sandals set the bar higher.

Denim on Denim is fascinatingly charming. A basic white crop top (tie a knot for more edgy look) paired with skinny distressed jeans is the most comfortable outfit for your denim jacket to hang out with. You can wear these during your casual day outs or a night party.

Denim and florals never go wrong. It Looks girly and edgy at the same time.DSC-0722

Channel your inner girly vibes by pairing an oversized denim jacket with a mini dress. And you are good to go.DSC_0092

Recreate this chic look by styling ripped denim jacket with high side slit top (yes that knot is giving an edge to this look) and distressed denim shorts (which has little darker tone than jacket) and a pair of white sneakers.
